3 Reasons to Get a Fujitsu Ductless Mini-Split System for Home Comfort

If you’re without an air duct system to install a conventional heater or air conditioner, you might feel as if whole-home comfort is out of your reach. But Fujitsu has a system that can provide whole-home comfort for those without ducts, or single-room cooling and heating that is more effective than a portable heater or window AC unit.

A Fujitsu mini split system involves no duct installation. Ductless mini splits work a lot like conventional air conditioners or, more accurately, heat pumps. Heat moves from the air inside of the home to the air outside in the summer for cooling. In the winter, the process can reverse to move heat inside of the home. This involves the installation of an outside unit and inside blower units mounted high up on the walls.

Here are three reasons you may want to consider having a Fujitsu mini-split system in your home.

Whole-Home Comfort

Those bulky window units and portable AC and heating systems simply don’t cut it when it comes to whole-home comfort. There is no central thermostat to regulate the temperature throughout the home, and they aren’t very effective at heating and cooling rooms anyway, in many instances.

A ductless mini-split system is highly effective at making the whole room comfortable, and keeping temperatures throughout the home consistent, if desired.

Efficiency

Ductless mini split systems usually come highly rated for efficiency. Look for a unit with the ENERGY STAR seal and a high SEER (seasonal energy efficiency ratio, preferably over 16) to make sure the one you’ve purchased will use as little energy as possible. However, you’re likely to notice the difference in your bills either way if you were relying on window air conditioners in the past.

Zone Control

Finally, installing a whole-home system with individual blower units means you get built-in zone control. Each blower unit has its own thermostat. You can control the temperature in one room without affecting the temperature in the others, but you can still keep the home at a consistent temperature if you’d rather.
